The Athletic Department endeavors to match the academic excellence of the school by offering five club sports and twenty eight interscholastic sports for girls and boys. In most years, nearly sixty five percent of the students at Saint Ignatius participate in athletics.
As a member of the Chicago Catholic 联盟, the Girls Catholic Athletic Conference, and the Metro Catholic Aquatics Conference, the Wolfpack prides itself in competing with top-flight competition on the freshman, 二年级学生, junior varsity and varsity levels.
Saint Ignatius College Prep and all other Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Chicago are prohibited from offering scholarships, 金融援助, monetary awards or promising anything based solely on athletic talent in accordance with the rules of the Illinois High School Association.
The Chicago Catholic 联盟 stands in unity to eliminate racial injustice and systematic racism. As we compete with and against each other, we use our platform as student athletes to work together to build racial unity and to strive to be the model of sportsmanship for all. We are committed to being the leaders in our school communities, building bridges and removing barriers to demonstrate that we can build racial harmony.
